Covered in Ice

It is an icy day in Central Ohio, everything is covered in ice! The snow is ice, the trees, drives and sidewalks. Forget about trying to walk on any of it, you have to slide. I went out and was stomping through the ice on top of the snow, breaking it up just so our Golden can walk on it.  Even though we are trying not to slip, it is beautiful. The buds on the trees look like little snow globes.

Every branch and berries stands out. You can see every detail, isn’t it just gorgeous? The icy branches are pretty with barn in the background. Mother nature is a wonderful artist.

See how the ice encases each bud? I now see why the Florida fruit growers water the fruit to encase it in ice and it will be protected from the cold. Notice Fraiser is standing on the only patch of grass?
