A Pot of Boiling Water

I was just freezing some more green beans and thought I would share a kitchen tip with you. When you’re done blanching beans you have a pot of boiling water; pour it on weeds, the roots will cook and kill them. DO NOT pour it near your flowers/plants/grass, it will cook their roots too. It’s great for concrete areas, paver/brick patios, driveways and sidewalk cracks. My handyman husband says to pour it down a drain to clean out the pipes. So, two tips on what to do with a pot of boiling water.
