Time to cut back the Thyme

It was a nice day to work in the yard so I ventured out to trim the dead foliage from last year. Lots of bulbs, plants and green life is popping up from the winter soil. I pulled the dead leaves off the Siberian Iris to reveal new buds emerging from the soil and decided to trim back the thyme.

As you can see I cut it way back, thyme can handle a good pruning and mine was getting too big for the area.

If you look close you can see the little green leaves emerging.
